How sweet your words taste to me;they are sweeter than honey.Psalm 119:103

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

Matthew 5:6

We have all been enjoying delicious food and many sweets this Christmas. God wants to give us food even more tantalizing and sweeter than anything we have ever indulged upon. He wants to fulfill our greatest hunger and at the same time create in us an insatiable appetite for His Word. He wants us to eat and drink from His Table of Truth.

Last year I invited our congregation to join me in reading through the whole Bible. Some of you have completed that adventure and now have a better picture of panorama of the Bible. This year, I want to challenge and invite you to join me in digging deeper into the whole New Testament.

There are many great plans you can follow, read, and listen to using you smartphones, tablets, and computers.

•The YouVersion (www.bible.com) website and app has many New Testament plans that will help you dive deeper into the new life His Spirit gives:

https://www.bible.com/reading-plans?lang=en&query=new+testament

•www.BibleGateway.com is a wonderful Bible Study resource where you can also find a reading plan that will satisfy your hunger for God and His Word:

•And for those who like the “old fashioned” way of reading with a Bible in your hand, the Navigators ministries some very helpful One Year plans for studying the New Testament:

As we read through the New Testament our goal is to dig deeper into the truth and promises of Jesus Christ.

For all of God's promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding "Yes!"

And through Christ, our "Amen" (which means "Yes") ascends to God for his glory.

2 Corinthians 1:20

Jesus is the fulfillment of all prophecies of the Old Testament and He is the “Yes” and “Amen” to all of God’s promises to you.

May you hunger and thirst, and may you feast and drink, upon the Word of God in 2014!

Happy New Year!

Pastor Curtis
